The nozzle assembly is composed of a nozzle coupling, a connecting plate, a nozzle body and a nozzle spring. In addition, an inductive needle valve lift sensor and a resistance strain gauge for measuring injection pressure are integrated into the nozzle body. This type of structure can adjust the injection regular shape by using the corresponding algorithm. The characteristic of this injector is that the nozzle needle valve can always be opened and closed very quickly. In order to improve the momentum of the spray oil bundle, i.e. the formation of the mixture, during the high load operation, the formation of the injection pattern determines the arrangement of the main valve in the throttling part away from the needle seat.
The HiFORS sample injector is a highly flexible test and research tool that can be used to develop combustion systems for modern diesel engines. It has been tested on hydraulic test stands and single-cylinder test diesel engines. Compared with the piezoelectric injector with the same nozzle structure and close to mass production, the experimental results can be summarized as follows :(1) under the same fuel injection quantity, the HiFORS injector can form the conical jet faster; (2) Due to the short opening time of the needle valve, it can produce a better effect on the mixture formation process at 5 MPa pressure and 800 K temperature; (3) HiFORS injector has high injection pressure, which can improve the mixture formation process when combined with rectangular injection law; (4) The HiFORS injector helps to form a longer gas mixing length when the injection volume is small.
