How do I make sure the car injector receives the correct voltage?
Automotive fuel injection is responsible for delivering the right amount of fuel to the car cylinders, but because these injectors have been used millions of times while the vehicle is on the road, of course they wear out. However, poor fuel injectors can not maintain the correct fuel concentration of the vehicle, which will affect the overall fuel economy of the vehicle and the performance of the engine. Therefore, as the owner must often check whether the fuel injector can receive the correct voltage, to ensure the normal running of the vehicle.
First, we will start by testing the fuel injector resistance, and then check whether its wiring is in good condition. You will need to use a digital volt Ohmmeter (DVOM) or multimeter with the ohmmeter set and first make sure the car engine is turned off as your homework is not to check the power supply. Take a look at the fuel injectors in the engine or the car's manual, as you may need to remove the car's protective cover before proceeding to the next step. Remove the fuel injector harness. If the car has a sliding lock, you need to remove it before you can use the fuel injector harness.
Now you need to set the DVOM to measuring ohm and check the resistance of all the nozzles one by one. If the meter does not have an automatic range, set it to the lowest range. If you now have a high impedance fuel injector commonly found in cars, set the range between 12 and 17 ohms.
