    How to keep diesel engine fuel injectors in good technical condition (part 2)

     

    First,check regularly and adjust the fuel supply advance angle of the fuel injection pump. In order to ensure that the diesel injected by the fuel injector into the cylinder can be mixed evenly and completely burned, regular checks must be made to adjust the fuel supply advance angle of the fuel injection pump. If the oil supply time is too early, it will make it difficult for the diesel engine to start, and there will be failures such as cylinder knocking and increased vibration; if the oil supply time is too late, it will cause black smoke from the exhaust pipe, excessive engine temperature and increased fuel consumption.  Too early or too late the oil supply advance angle of the fuel injection pump will reduce the service life of the fuel injector.

    Second, there are other issues that should be paid attention to

    A. When overhauling the diesel engine, carefully remove the combustion chamber, intake and exhaust valves, pistons, cylinder liners, exhaust pipes and fuel injectors. Excessive carbon deposits will cause poor heat dissipation of the engine, poor exhaust, and excessive local temperature.  thus burning the fuel injector assembly.

    B. When replacing or disassembling parts such as high-pressure oil pipes, diesel filter elements, plunger pairs and oil outlet valve pairs, they should be cleaned before installation, and before the high-pressure oil pipes are connected to the fuel injectors, the throttle should be opened to drive the engine to idle with external force Do several laps to clean the channel of the high-pressure fuel pipe to prevent impurities from entering the fuel injection nozzle.
