    Causes Of Carbon Deposits In Engines

    1. Too much fuel is supplied, which does not meet the engine working condition requirements. The increase in the main metering hole of the gasoline engine and the excessively high oil level in the float chamber will increase the fuel supply; the abnormal signals of the air flow sensor and the intake temperature sensor of the electronic fuel injection gasoline engine and the increase in the injection pressure will cause excessive fuel supply. Improper adjustment of the plunger position of the diesel engine injection pump; improper adjustment of the corresponding positions of the adjustable gear ring and the rack or the adjustment fork and the fuel supply pull rod of the oil quantity adjustment mechanism; improper adjustment of the adjustment screw of the governor to limit the maximum fuel supply of the rack (or fuel supply pull rod); improper adjustment of the throttle limit screw; excessive oil in the governor, etc. will increase the fuel supply.

    2. Lubricating oil leaks into the combustion chamber. (1) The oil level in the oil pan is too high, and the oil level is too low; (2) The cylinder or piston ring is worn, the piston ring loses its elasticity, the piston ring end gap and back gap are too large, the piston ring is stuck in the ring groove due to glue, and the piston ring installation port position is consistent; (3) The valve stem oil seal is worn and aged, and the gap between the valve stem and the guide tube is too large; (4) The oil bath air filter is blocked and the oil level is too high; (5) The supercharger seal ring and seal sleeve are worn and aged. These will cause the lubricating oil to leak into the combustion chamber.

    3. The amount of air entering the cylinder is small. The air filter is blocked; the valve clearance is improperly adjusted; the camshaft cam is severely worn; the valve timing is incorrect; the intake duct is blocked, etc. can all cause the cylinder intake volume to decrease.

    4. Other factors that affect the combustion of the cylinder mixture. The quality of gasoline used in the gasoline engine does not meet the requirements, and slow vaporization results in poor oil-gas mixing; using too-cooled spark plugs, the insulator skirt is too short, and the temperature cannot be maintained above 500-600°C, so that the oil particles falling on the skirt cannot burn immediately; the ignition energy is insufficient and the spark plug sparks weakly; the ignition timing is improperly adjusted, and the ignition is too early or too late; the intake temperature preheating device also affects the mixing of gasoline and air. The quality of diesel used in the diesel engine does not meet the requirements, the heavy fraction content is too large, and the volatility is poor, resulting in poor atomization and slow vaporization; the diesel fuel has too high agglomeration and poor fluidity, making it difficult to filter out sediment, causing spray deterioration; the fastening nut on the injector pressure regulating screw is loose, the preload of the pressure regulating spring is too small or broken, the clearance between the needle valve guide part and the needle valve body hole is too large, the sealing cone surface on the needle valve body is poorly sealed, and the contact surface between the injector body and the needle valve body is not tight, resulting in low injection pressure; the needle valve is stuck in the needle valve body, causing the needle valve to be not closed tightly, or stuck in the open position, the injection pump outlet valve is not closed tightly or the outlet valve pressure relief ring is worn, etc., which will cause the injector to fail to stop spraying quickly; improper injection timing adjustment, too early or too late will affect the combustion quality.
