    Diesel Engine Maintenance Measures

    1. Cooling system maintenance
    First, when using a diesel engine in cold seasons, antifreeze must be injected. When the diesel engine is not injected with antifreeze, 60℃ hot water is needed to warm it up. Then pour 60℃ hot water into the cooling system until the hot water flows out. Make sure that the water tank is filled with hot water before starting the diesel engine. Second, during the operation of the diesel engine, the cooling water temperature must be higher than 75℃, and the cooling water temperature can be lower than 40℃ in a short-term shutdown state. When the diesel engine does not use antifreeze, the internal water must be released for a long-term shutdown to avoid internal freezing and cracking damage. Third, when the diesel engine is suspended in winter, it must be well insulated. When the temperature is below 5℃, when the diesel engine is put into storage, it must ensure that the engine water temperature is lowered, and then the cooling water is released to avoid freezing and cracking. Fourth, before starting the engine, cooling water must be added and the water surface must be appropriate. During operation, pay attention to checking the water level in the water tank. Fifth, add water correctly. If the engine is short of water and overheats, it is strictly forbidden to shut down immediately. It should run at a low speed for a while. After the water temperature drops, add hot water. If you want to add cold water, you must slowly add cold water after shutting down for 15 minutes to avoid uneven heating of the cylinder head and engine body and cracks. When the engine is overheated, the radiator cap cannot be opened to avoid hot air burns. Sixth, when cleaning the scale in the cooling system, ensure that the engine runs for 1000 hours. Before cleaning, the engine must be at normal temperature and then shut down. When the water temperature drops to 50℃, the cooling water should be released.

    2. Lubrication system maintenance

    First, before entering the cold season, the winter lubricant must be replaced, and the new oil filter must be replaced at the same time, and the oil pressure gauge should be checked. When the temperature is below -10℃, when starting a diesel engine with a preheating device, first turn on the preheating switch and preheat for 30 seconds. Second, before starting the diesel engine, place the diesel lubricant in a covered bucket, and place it in hot water to ensure that the temperature reaches 70-80℃ before installing the oil pan. It should be noted that it is strictly forbidden to heat the lubricant to boiling state, and it is also forbidden to use open flames to roast the oil pan, leaving the lubricant to deteriorate. Third, when the diesel engine is shut down for a long time, drain the oil pan lubricant and place it in a clean bucket for standby use.
