Inspection And Judgment Of The Technical Status Of The Fuel Injection Nozzle
This inspection should be carried out under the premise that the plunger pair and the oil outlet valve pair are working normally.
(1) On-vehicle test method: When other parts of the engine are normal, the injector can be roughly adjusted before being installed on the vehicle. When the engine is started, it can be debugged on the vehicle by "listening to the sound and observing the exhaust".
(2) Standard injector comparison method: This method uses a normal injector that has been adjusted in accordance with regulations to compare with the injector to be checked. First, connect them in parallel to the injection pump with a three-way pipe, then exhaust the air in the oil circuit and put the throttle at the maximum position. Turn on the pressure reduction rocker and observe whether the injection conditions of the two injectors are consistent. If both inject fuel at the same time, or stop injecting fuel at the same time, and the atomization state is also consistent, it means that the injector to be checked is qualified.
(3) Pressure gauge inspection method: Use a three-way pipe to connect the pressure gauge and the injector to be checked in parallel to the injection pump, and put the throttle at the maximum position. Turn on the pressure reduction rocker to pump oil so that the pressure gauge reaches 9.8 kPa (combined with adjusting the pressure regulating spring). Then, the fuel injector sprays oil at a speed of about 10 times per minute. There should be no oil dripping at this time. After the above work is completed, adjust the needle valve to the specified pressure, and then perform the atomization test at a speed of about 80 times per minute. The droplets should be fine and evenly distributed, the direction and cone angle of the oil beam should meet the requirements, and the oil beam should be cut off cleanly with a special crisp sound.
If there is still a fault after the above inspection, the needle valve, ejector rod, and spring should be removed for cleaning and inspection. If it cannot be restored to normal due to severe wear, it should be replaced with a new part.
